Welcome

Welcome to the first edition of Vistas & Byways, a literary review sponsored by the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at San Francisco State University. Our goal in publishing the review is to shine a light on the amazing work being done in the OLLI at SF State Creative Arts classes.

Many OLLI at SF State students have retired from their professional lives but they have not put down their pens, their paintbrushes, their cameras. In fact, some are picking them up for the first time after a lifetime of demanding jobs and parenting, free now to pursue that artistic yearning there never was time for.

Do you want your creative voice heard?  We’re listening.  Do you have a story to tell? We want to hear it and share it.

Deadline reminder:  We will begin accepting manuscripts for the Spring issue on December 1, 2015.

This debut issue of Vistas & Byways is just the beginning.  We’re excited about your response to our call for submissions.  With your continued participation, we will keep it going.
